Langan was required to submit a 3D model of the proposed Lowe's to the City of Norwalk, Connecticut during the permitting process. "Sometimes it is the small things that can make a big difference.
"Yesterday, I was in an all-day meeting for the SR 520 project with WSDOT, the Treasurer, their bond underwriters, their bond counsel, financial advisors, and the attorney general's office. The day before the meeting, the WSDOT CFO had emailed two large reports and a series of spreadsheets to the Washington State Deputy Treasurer for her to distribute to the meeting participants. The Deputy Treasurer never received the files because her email system blocked the zip file attachment...she was clearly displeased at the meeting that WSDOT had not managed to get these materials to her for distribution nor had printed hard copies for distribution at the meeting.
"Sensing an opportunity, I emailed [our office] at 3 p.m. and asked [them] if there was any way [they] could assemble the necessary files on a CD, make 20 copies of the CD, and get them over the AG's offices by 4 p.m.
"Scott immediately enlisted the help of [the FM Site Manager on] our in-house ABC printing staff, who managed to get all 20 CDs burned and tested. Not only did [they] get the job done in under an hour and the CDs delivered by 4 p.m., but they were also able to apply a professional looking WSDOT label with the meeting date on each CD!
"I want to recognize [these gentlemen] for their exceptionally quick work on this less than glamorous assignment that truly helped us 'save the day' for our WSDOT client!"

Last Wednesday, I brought a CD containing 12 JPEGs to the Tysons store. Your manager directed his staff to push the job so that both the color sets and the B & W sets were ready by noon. I delivered these to the builder. He reviewed the proposed front elevations and requested changes to the colors.
By Friday evening we had revised 6 of the 12 sheets and I gave a CD to the DC store at 9. I returned at 4 p.m. Saturday and gave the on-duty manager a CD with the remaining 6 sheets. He kept the shop open late because I had called him to let him know that the work was taking longer than estimated.
