Promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility in a company means
more than making statements and creating policies. At ABC Imaging we take pride in the initiatives we have started
to make us a more environmentally responsible company.
Some of our Eco Printing initiatives include
- ABC Green Team—company-wide team that reports on environmental issues and progress from their locality.
- Digital workflow solution—reduce the use of paper in all transactions from email to invoicing.
- Eco-friendly packaging—use of recycled and reused cardboard cartons for shipping.
- Print media selection—use of Eco X-Board, made from 90% recycled materials, recycled vinyl materials
for banners and signs, and recycled bond paper for copying.
- Printing inks—all offset printing inks used by ABC Imaging are biodegradable and soy-based. We are
investigating the use of latex inks for large format digital printing.
In addition to these initiatives, we have obtained certifications for our Offset Printing division from
industry-related programs. Our certifications include:
- Forest Sustainability Council (FSC)
- Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI)
- Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)
These programs monitor the manufacture of paper from well-managed forests, where replanting is promoted and
where logging practices do not harm the indigenous people or the forest biodiversity.
