WASHINGTON, DC—ABC Imaging recently added a Multicam CNC 3000 Series router to its Grand Format Division. This
versatile and heavy-duty router enables ABC Imaging to precision cut typical signage and display substrates such as
Sintra and Gatorboard. It also cuts other types of plastic as well as many types of metal and wood.
"The CNC router now gives us the ability to produce virtually every component of a project completely in-house," according
to John Stricker, Grand Format Manager at ABC Imaging. "This means we have total control over the quality of the
finished product and we can provide quicker turn-around to our clients."
With the addition of the 3000 series router to its equipment line up, ABC Imaging can produce a wide array of
signs and displays completely in-house. This ability gives the company the advantage of being able to focus on
quality control from job start to finish.
The CNC router has the ability to cut standard to very complex 2D and 3D shapes out of substrates as large at
5 x 10 ft. Applications include cutting aluminum and Plexiglas to mount display graphics, stand-alone rigid
signage, 3D impact logos, and channel letters.
"Designers are going to love this machine," Mr. Stricker added, "It allows us to provide our clients with a lot more
types of display and sign solutions, so we can truly be a one-stop shop for all their needs."
