ABC Imaging's Accounting Department is seeking a GL Specialist to contribute to our award-winning team.

Account reconciliations.
Financial analysis.
State & local tax filings.
Monthly sales and use taxes.
Other state and local reports.
Tax return preparation.
Processing expense reports.

Technical Writer

Primary responsibilities:

Writes content for products and services created by the Product Development Department.
Revises existing content when products and services are updated.
Analyzes and organizes content for desired end use.
Designs deliverable—job aid, manual, on-line help—to present technical information clearly to a variety of audiences.
With the assistance of a designer, designs graphics to support content and clearly present technical information.
Manages content by archiving projects and distributing deliverables to all appropriate parties.

Secondary responsibilities:

Writes and edits content for products and services delivered by other ABC Imaging divisions.
Creates content used for training both internal and external customers.
Writes technical content for websites.
Maintains content for online style guide to promote consistent usage for user content and product deliverables.

Requirements:

Excellent editorial skills including ability to write and edit content for complex products and processes.
Ability to produce deliverables using a variety of software tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to quickly understand business processes and communicate these processes in writing and verbally.
Basic understanding of Internet- and browser-related technologies.
Excellent project management skills.
Ability to communicate knowledgeably with subject matter experts to determine content requirements.
Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment.
Knowledge of instructional systems design.
Knowledge of ISO9001 quality management standard.
Understanding of architectural process.
Understanding of printing technologies.
Understanding of content management systems.
BA or BS degree in Technical Communications, English, or related field.
Three to five years experience as a technical communicator, preferably in a software development or IT environment.
Experience using Microsoft Office products to create and deliver technical documentation (required).
Experience using Adobe Acrobat to create and deliver digital files (required).
Experience using Adobe Technical Communication Suite, including FrameMaker, RoboHelp, and Captivate (desired).

Software Engineer (Washington, D.C.)
