ABC Imaging salutes NBM 2010 Honor Award Recipients
Washington, DC—May 7, 2010—ABC Imaging announced recently that it will be a benefactor level supporter for
the
National Building Museum 2010 Honor Award. The NBM Honor Award recognizes innovative contributions to the built environment by individuals and organizations.
The theme for this year's award is "A Salute to Civic Innovators." Recipients include Perkins+Will, the founders of the
New Orleans Habitat Musicians Village, and the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon.
"ABC Imaging appreciates the many groundbreaking contributions made by this year's recipients," said Medi Falsafi, President
and CEO of ABC Imaging. "We are happy to join the Building Museum celebrating the creativity these organizations have
shown as civic innovators."
Perkins+Will, from its home base in Chicago, has operated from the forefront of civic-minded design for most of the
firm's 75 year-history. In the 21 years that the NBM has made Honor Awards, Perkins+Will is the first architectural
firm to receive the award. The firm is an ABC Imaging client.
The founders of the New Orleans Habitat Musicians Village will be recognized for their work in restoring the city's
Ninth Ward for musicians in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon will be
honored for their outreach in teaching the importance of a holistic approach to energy efficiency.
