ABC Imaging Grand Format teams with client and creative director for first museum installation

Washington, DC—May 5, 2010—ABC Imaging's Grand Format Division recently collaborated with the German American Heritage Foundation (GAHF) and a Washington, DC creative director, Nicole Hamam, to complete the company's first museum installation.

The project, a multimedia exhibit at the GAHF's newly opened museum, pushed Grand Format to use all its resources in producing an effective and integrated design. Located in the Chinatown district of Washington, DC, the GAHF promotes appreciation of the contributions of German Americans in American culture, commerce, and society.

"We selected ABC Imaging because they have expertise in every field," said Rudy Lentz, Executive Director of the GAHF. "I had worked with ABC Imaging when I was at another employer. I knew they could do everything: offset printing, vinyl printing, digital printing, and CNC routing."

A unifying feature of the exhibit is a timeline installed as a continuous band. The timeline runs more than 60 feet and covers three walls in the main exhibit space.

"ABC Imaging's patience and assistance were invaluable," said Hamam. "They provided ideas and samples and guided me on production techniques and file formats. During the installation, they arrived on-time and worked nonstop."

Both Lentz and Hamam spoke enthusiastically about the collaboration between all parties during the project. "The ABC Imaging team was great at on-the-spot collaboration and problem solving," Hamam said of ABC Grand Format's part in the project.

A local news report from FOX 5 TV in Washington, DC broadcast live from the museum as the Grand Format team was finishing the museum installation.
